1. Purpose of Primer

Primer is a guided ninety day course designed to explain how thinking, feeling and reacting operate, with a short daily lesson, a small practice to try, and tools for personal reflection.

Primer is for personal education and reflection only.

2. Not Professional Advice

Primer does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, or counseling services. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. Lesson content and AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or incomplete. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on App content.

Where a lesson describes what research supports, it is a summary written for a general audience, not a clinical recommendation, and the strength of the evidence varies between topics.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical, mental health, legal, or financial emergency, please contact a qualified professional or emergency service in your region.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Primer. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. AI-Powered Features

Some features rely on third-party AI services (specifically OpenAI). When you use these features, the questions, messages, and context you provide may be transmitted to OpenAI to generate your response. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You acknowledge that AI-generated content is produced automatically and may not be accurate. Do not rely on AI responses for any consequential decision.

5. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Primer may offer paid subscription tiers that unlock additional features or remove usage limits.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your app store account settings.
• Pricing is displayed in-app and may change over time.
• Refunds are handled according to the policies of the platform where you purchased the subscription (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play).
• Features and limits may vary by plan.

If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

7. Rate Limiting & Fair Use

To protect system performance and ensure fair use, AI interactions and on-demand features may be subject to rate limits.

Limits may differ by subscription level, and excessive usage may result in temporary restrictions. We reserve the right to adjust limits at any time.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to reverse-engineer the App
• Use Primer for unlawful purposes
• Submit harmful, illegal, harassing, or hateful content
• Attempt to bypass usage limits or access restricted features
• Use the AI to generate content that misrepresents Primer, harasses others, or violates the rights of others

Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

9. Intellectual Property

All app design, features, curriculum content, and branding are owned by Primer, PetRhino LLC, or their licensors.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell any proprietary part of the App without permission.

10. Availability & Changes

We may modify, discontinue, add, or remove features; change content offerings; and adjust pricing or limits.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of lesson content or AI-generated responses, or any outcomes related to your use of the App.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Primer and PetRhino LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost income, or decisions made based on App content arising from your use of the App.

13. Termination

You may stop using Primer at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, abuse or fraud is detected, or as required by law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of: United States — Oregon.
